JAI’s Go Series delivers an exceptional blend of small size, high versatility, and excellent performance, all at an entry-level price, making them the perfect starting point for a wide range of machine vision applications.

The first Go Series family – the GO-5000 – packs a high performance 5-megapixel CMOS imager into a compact form factor that fits in your fingertips and weighs only 46 grams. Using a combination of ROI and binning capabilities, this tiny camera can become almost anything you want – from a superfast VGA camera (at nearly 450 fps) to a super sensitive camera using binning* to create 10-micron, or even-20-micron effective pixel sizes.

The newest Go Series models add the latest Sony PregiusTM CMOS technology to the mix. The GO-2400, takes advantage of the highly-regarded 2.35-megapixel Sony IMX174 CMOS imager to deliver remarkable  sensitivity, with high dynamic range and the lowest noise in its class. While the GO-5100 and GO-5101 incorporate the Sony IMX250 and IMX264 imagers, respectively. Like the GO-5000, these additional Go Series models offer a robust feature set along with an attractive list price.

Multiple Resolutions

The Go Series features high performance CMOS global shutter imagers to fit a wide range of applications. Included are four different Sony PregiusTM imagers offering exceptional JAI Goimage quality in resolutions of 2.35 megapixels and 5.1 megapixels. There’s also the 5-megapixel Lince5M imager providing outstanding versatility in the form of ROI, binning, and high dynamic range functions.

Choice of High Performance Interfaces

Go Series cameras are available with three different digital interface options:jai go

  • For long cable runs, networking capabilities, and “grabberless” operation, there are Go Series cameras with Power over GigE Vision (PoE) interfaces.
  • USB3 Vision interfaces also eliminate the need for frame grabbers and separate power supplies while providing increased throughput over their standard plug-and-play connection.
  • For maximum performance and minimum latency, there are Go Series cameras equipped with Power-over-Mini-Camera-Link (PMCL) interfaces.

Built to Last in Industrial Environments

All Go Series models feature a small form factor (29 x 29 x 41.5 mm, excluding lens mount) and weigh only 46 grams. More importantly, they are designed to withstand the rigors of industrial environments, including the ability to withstand 10G vibration, 80G shock, and a  -5°C to +45°C standard temperature operating range. Thanks to their industrial grade designs, Go Series cameras feature MTBF ratings of more than 200,000 hours. That’s over 20 years of continuous operation

  • Small size and weight: Go Series cameras measure 29 x 29 x 41.5 mm (excluding lens mount) and weigh less than 50 grams, enabling them to fit into small spaces or into vehicles or other applications where weight is critical.
  • High frame rates: High performance CMOS imager technology lets Go Series cameras maintain high frame rates despite their small size. The GO-2400-PMCL, for example, can provide full 2.35-megapixel images at up to 165 fps.
  • High image quality: Even at megapixel resolutions, the Go Series doesn’t resort to a rolling shutter or small pixels with low signal-to-noise ratios. 5-micron square pixels, global shutter, analog gain control, a built-in lookup table, and other advanced features help ensure image quality beyond entry-level expectations.
  • Choice of interfaces: Go Series cameras are available with a choice of advanced digital interfaces so you can select the one that best fits your needs. Options include powered interfaces, where a single-cable solution is desired, as well as both frame-grabber-based and “grabberless” configurations.
  • Industrial-grade construction: Go Series cameras are built for the real world, with robust housings and extensive shock and vibration testing to maximize their ability to withstand the rigors of industrial environments. Cameras come with full 3-year warranties and MTBF ratings of more than 200,000 hours.
