Xenon-Opal 150pxThe Xenon-Opal 2.8/12 is a robust C-mount lens for 1.1″ sensor down to 3 μm pixel size. With a max. chief ray angle of 6°, this lens can be used with 12-megapixel cameras using sensors with microlenses.

The Xenon-Opal lens fits all kinds of industrial applications up to ∞ (with the best performance at a working distance from 0.3 to 1.5 m). Therefore this lens is the first choice for demanding factory automation systems, such as 3D measurement.

The robust mechanics provide a highly stable image in harsh environments, even mounted on an arm of a robot system. Equipped with 400 – 1000 nm broadband AR-coating makes this lens even more flexible regarding used illumination.

The robust mechanical design with lockable iris and focus is resistant to vibrations and guarantees an extremely high and uniform image quality over the entire sensor even under harsh conditions. The broadband coating covers the range from 400 to 1,000 nm (VIS + NIR).

The Xenon-Ruby lenses are optimized in accordance with the sensitivity of modern image sensors up to 1/1.8″ (9 mm). These lenses are the perfect trade-off between price and performance.

The robust mechanical design with lockable iris and focus is resistant to vibrations and guarantees an extremely high and uniform image quality over the entire sensor.

With a magnification range from ß’ = 0.1 to infinite, the lenses can resolve a pixel size of 4.65 µm on the camera with a 1/1.8″ sensor. The broadband transmission covers the range from 400 to 1,000 nm.

Xenon-Emerald_4.0-80mmMany camera manufacturers are using the F-mount bayonet or the V48-mount as the camera/ lens interface of their high resolution area and line scan cameras.

Schneider-Kreuznach has addressed these topics with high resolution  Xenon-Emerald lenses series for large format cameras with up to 29 MP sensors.

The low distortion lenses with an image circle diameter of 43.2 mm are compact, robust, lockable in distance, and aperture. They are designed for close up range (S) and long-range (L) and optimized for uniform image quality over the whole sensor area.

The 400 to 1,000nm broadband coating makes them suitable for applications in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. The variety of alternative mounts makes them even more flexible for a wide range of applications in machine vision, quality control, web inspection, and other image processing applications.

Xenon-Emerald Schneider Lens

Schneider Xenon-Emerald lenses are ideal for applications where an F-Mount lens is required but must have lockable iris and focus. The iris can be locked with a thumb screw and the focus is set by rotating the main barrel via an internal thread and locked with a locking collar.

The V-Mount versions can be adapted to other camera standards, including C-Mount, TFL Mount, M42 x 1.0, M42 x 0.75, or M58 x 0.75.
The S versions of the 28mm and 100mm lenses are for short working distances, while the L” versions are optimized for long working distances.

Xenon Sapphire Lens picThese high-resolution, high-speed lenses are optimized for the use of 16k pixel line scan sensors. There are several lens types each optimized for a certain magnification range.

The image circles of up to 62 mm meet the length of currently available 16k CCD/ CMOS lines and will cover at the same time 12k image heights as well.

The high resolution of these lenses makes full use of the sensor‘s pixel size of 3.5 µm and fully exploits all possibilities of the latest sensor generation. As usual they are compact, robust, and lockable in distance and apertures.

The 400 to 1,000 nm broadband coating makes it suitable for applications in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. The V-mount makes it easy to install and rotate into the desired azimuth position for a wide range of high-resolution applications where existing 12k lenses (with approximately 5 µm pixel sizes) are not sufficient anymore.

Xenon-Zirconia Line Scan

Xenon-Zirconia-Schneider-Lenses

With the Xenon-Zirconia lenses, Schneider-Kreuznach offers a very versatile tool for different line scan applications.

This lens family is optimized for pixel size 5 μm for the use with 12k (62.5 mm) line scan sensors but can also be used with 16k (82 mm) lines.

The maximum aperture of these lenses is considerably larger than in the Xenon-Sapphire lens family which allows to use the lenses under sparse light conditions. Our lenses are designed in a manner that even with the fastest F-number, the full resolution, albeit with a Xenon-Zirconia diminished contrast, is attained.

The Xenon-Zirconia lens for the largest magnification of -2x is also available with beam splitter for coupling in illumination. The lenses are broadband coated and can be used in the spectral range of 400-1,000 nm. The V-mount makes them easy to install and rotate into the desired azimuth position.

Xenon-Zirconia lenses can be used in a wide range of applications: PCB inspection, quality control, FPD inspection, Line scan, OLED inspection, web and surface inspections

Xenon Diamond R5C3Schneider-Kreuznach offers a highly sophisticated, new family of line scan lenses, called Xenon-Diamond lenses for large magnifications such as -2.6x or -3.5x.

They are optimized for the highest resolution and very high image quality when used with 12k scan lines with 5 μm pixel size (pitch) which means MTF@72 lp/ mm > 0.40 on the image side for an image size of 62.5 mm.

Actually Xenon-Diamond lenses can also be used for image sizes as large as 82 mm to also cover 16k/ 5 μm-pitch lines. As usual Xenon-Diamond lenses are compact, robust, and lockable in distance and apertures. The 400 to 1,000 nm broadband coating makes it suitable for applications in the visible and near-infrared spectrum.

The V-mount makes it easy to install and rotate into the desired azimuth position. For each magnification there are two lens versions: one regular type for use without beam splitter or with pellicle and one for use with a beam splitter prism made of BK 7 and a thickness of 25 mm.

V38 Line Scan Macro System

Wherever complex web and surface inspections are concerned, the line scan image capture method is used in most cases. Due to the principle used, this method requires a very careful choice of camera and an optimally adapted lens in order to achieve maximum system performance.

The size of the sensor pixels determines the necessary optical imaging performance of the lens. Today’s high-performance lenses must follow the trend toward ever-smaller pixel sizes and increased sensor resolution. This typically results in larger array sizes and therefore considerably higher demands made on the imaging performance or MTF (modulation transfer function) of the lenses.

Makro-Symmar, Micro-Symmar and Apo-Componon lenses are designed for industrial machine vision applications and satisfy even the most stringent requirements of next generation 12k line scan applications. Identification of the best azimuth and application in reverse position means that they can be deployed in a customer-oriented way.

UNIFOC Schneider Lenses

Photographic Enlarging Lenses are high performance, high resolutions lens systems that are specifically designed for lower magnification and reduction ratios. *** These Lenses are being phased out.

The helical focusing mounts UNIFOC 58 and UNIFOC 76 are specially designed for the use of Schneider-Kreuznach enlarging lenses in combination with linear and area CCD cameras.

This combination allows the imaging of small objects with an extraordinary high image quality.

Many machine vision applications require the imaging of small objects from distances of only a few centimeters. Schneider-Kreuznach enlarging lenses are perfectly suited for this application by their high optical performance at small imaging distances, combined with very low distortion. Due to the large image circle diameter the lenses can also be used for linear CCD cameras.

The helical mounts Unifoc 58 and Unifoc 76 are used for focusing the enlarging lenses, which do not contain any internal focusing mechanism. The helical mounts offer a total focus range (Z-axis travel) of 25.7 mm and differ only by their rear mount. The Unifoc 58 has a “male“ T2 thread (M42 x 0.75). The Unifoc 76 has a “male“ M58 x 0.75 thread. The Unifoc76 is the best choice for cameras with long linear CCDs.

Each UNIFOC has an internal „female“ Leica mounting thread (Ø39 x 26 Gg. 60°), adaptable also to M39 x 1. The final focus setting can be locked by a knurled locking thumbscrew and additionally secured by an opposite Allen screw. The helical mounts can be adapted easily with extension tubes and adapters to a wide range of imaging applications.

TELECENTRIC

Telecentric Lenses

 

The bilateral telecentric lenses for matrix and line scan cameras set a new standard of lens performance for optical metrology. The absolute distortion in the image plane of these lenses is only a few micrometers.

The lenses can be focussed on the image side in a range of +/- 3 mm which means that the working distance can be adjusted within the defined limits without any change in the lens magnification. Thus the lenses can easily be adjusted to fit the space conditions in the application.
